Complexity reigns in the brain. For many years, scientists have mused where in the homunculus does consciousness lie? Perhaps this parallels the discourse and debate among medieval scholars - how many angels can fit on the head of a pin. However on closer examination, the question leads us directly to complex, self organized, "the whole is more than the sum of the parts" thinking.
